Ultherapy is US FDA cleared as the only non-invasive procedure to lift skin on the Brow, Neck, and under the Chin as well as improve lines and wrinkles on the Décolleté. This first of its kind lifting treatment has also received CE Mark for lifting and sculpting of the skin on the Upper Face, Lower Face and Décolleté.

Ultherapy uses micro-focused ultra sound energy to non-invasively heat the deep tissue without affecting the surrounding skin or causing any damage to the upper layers. This procedure stimulates the growth of new collagen and over time allows for the natural lifting and tightening of the skin on the face and neck. Prior to and during treatment the skin undergoes ultrasound imaging to allow us to actually see the layers and depth of skin/muscle we require to treat ensuring that energy is delivered precisely to where it will most effectively stimulate the growth of new collagen and be most effective.

The procedure will take anything from 60 -90 minutes depending on the areas been treated. Results will build up gradually over 2-3 months and continue for up to 6 months post procedure. Side effects will be minimum, however may include mild redness or swelling which is very temporary.

How long will Ultherapy results last?

Evidence shows that even after a year post procedure skin lifting and tightening is still evident. As the ageing process still occurs further touch up treatments are recommended to maintain the desired results.

Are there any side effects?

There may be a slight redness post procedure for an hour or so, this very quickly settles, some patients may experience a slight swelling, the area may feel slightly tender to touch post treatment but these effect are mild and temporary in nature

Is Ultherapy Safe?

Ultherapy is the only FDA cleared procedure for lifting the skin on the neck, chin and brow and to improve lines  and wrinkles on the Decollete, and CE Marked for lifting and sculpting the skin on the upper face, lower face, neck and decollete after demonstrating safety in numerous clinical studies . To date more than 100,000 treatments worldwide have been performed safely.

How many treatments does it take?

A one off treatment is usually all that is required. However depending on the patient’s degree of skin laxity and other clinical factors such as age, ability to stimulate new colleen more than one treatment may be required for optimal results.

Am I Suitable for treatment?

Ultherapy might be a consideration for the younger client who is not ready for a face lift with only mild laxity present. They may want to slow down the signs of ageing and are looking to have treatment to stimulate the formation of new collagen, as a proactive approach to counter the ageing process. For the older client with more skin laxity, who possibly could benefit from surgery but may not want to go down that route Ultherapy is the only non-invasive procedure that reaches the same layers of the skin addressed in a surgical facelift so they will therefore still benefit from the formation of new collagen to help lift the skin tissue. As part of the ageing process you may notice a lowered eyebrow, or lose skin in the mid and lower face and under the neck and jaw area, and also an increase in lines and wrinkles all of which can be addressed with Ultherapy treatment. This is also a great treatment option for patents who do not want to go down the route of muscle relaxing injections or dermal fillers.
